Approbation is the full professional licence. A Berufserlaubnis is a temporary authorisation whose conditions and restrictions must be checked. Do not assume either is granted by a training provider or employer.
Use the authority’s checklist for qualifications, training content, professional experience, language, suitability and document form. Confirm accepted translations and legalisation requirements before paying for them.
FSP focuses on professional communication. KP concerns the required professional knowledge and abilities when your recognition pathway requires it. Preparation should follow your authority’s decision, not an assumed requirement for every pharmacist.
Recognition work can begin before relocation. Some pathways involve completing outstanding requirements in Germany. Passing an examination does not replace the other licensing conditions or immigration requirements.
